Capenhurst Nuclear Service helps Children’s Charity raise money for Lapland adventure

In respect of Capenhurst Nuclear Service’s first anniversary, our employees have chosen to donate £750 to ‘Northern Lights Children’s Charity,’ who raise funds to give seriously ill children the chance to visit Lapland over the Christmas holiday.

CNS Celebrates its First Anniversary

CNS is celebrating its first anniversary on 30 November 2013 as the centre of excellence for the management of uranic materials, decommissioning and recycling. To mark this occasion, CNS has arranged an event with employees to thank them for all their hard work and commitment. CNS has achieved a number of key milestones over the last 12 months, which would not have been possible without its dedicated and reliable workforce.

Hands on Safety

CNS has launched a ‘Hands on Safety’ initiative to raise awareness of key health and safety topics. Each quarter will focus on a different theme, from health & wellbeing to risk prevention. Employees will receive coaching and mentoring which will be beneficial for both at work and at home.

Quality

CNS is committed to quality and seeks to achieve certification for both ISO 9001 (which sets out the requirements of a quality management system) and ISO 14001 (which maps out a framework that CNS can follow to set up an effective environmental management system). Achieving both certifications will demonstrate how processes are being measured and improved.
